You are really old enough now to understand certain things about what happened between me and your mother.  Please know that I never wanted you to leave me for Japan.  Please understand that I am telling the truth that your mother lied to both me and to both of you.  She told me she had to see her sick grandmother in Nikko.  But that was a lie.  Her grandmother was never sick.  I tried finding you but she lied to me about where she was.  I am sorry you have to hear this.  But sadly your mother did a terrible thing.  She lied to you all these years about what happened.  It was not to protect you.  It was only pure selfishness of your mother.
