You are really old enough now to understand certain things about what happened between me and your mother.  Please know that I never wanted you to leave me for Japan.  Please understand that I am telling the truth that your mother lied to both me and to both of you.  She told me she had to see her sick grandmother in Nikko.  But that was a lie.  Her grandmother was never sick.  I tried finding you but she lied to me about where she was.  I am sorry you have to hear this.  But sadly your mother did a terrible thing.  She lied to you all these years about what happened.  It was not to protect you.  It was only pure selfishness of your mother. This is Owen on the last Sunday we were together in 2012 before they left for Japan forever. Owen had just lost his first tooth and he was so happy. He and his brother loved to be with Papa and loved that I took them to the park that day and later to the mall for lunch. And here is Ben on the exact same day in 2012. He looks very happy to be with Papa at the park, being his goofy self as usual. It seems pretty clear to me that both Owen and Ben love their papa and loved being with papa. Owen and Ben flying to Japan. Papa was always very nervous about the trip and flying with two small boys. But they were both excellent flyers, especially for such long flights, and rarely got in a bad mood. This probably around 2009.  I love you Owen and Ben. New Study: Reveals The Long-Term Effects of Parental Child Abduction A new study was recently published that investigates the actual experiences of those were were abducted many years ago as children. This study was based on the personal interviews of abducted children. The study found that a high proportion of the participants reported suffering very significant effects from their abductions in terms of their mental health. Many of the interviewees described how they grew to accept the abductor’s account of the left-behind parent. I am not sure what she told you but I want you to know that I never wanted you to leave. I did not know your mother was moving you to Japan. Your mother lied to papa about that.
