My oldest son Owen turned 18 today. Happy birthday Owen. It is amazing how the years flew by and it is hard to believe you are an adult now. Over the New Years weekend we went up to the mountains for some sightseeing. The mountains looked very beautiful with all the snow. Did you get any snow in Osaka? Hi Owen and Ben. Your dad here. How are you guys doing? Hope your school is going good and you are also enjoying your school breaks. It has been very, very hot here. Often over 40C. Recently is has also been very humid. We don't get a lot of humidity here like you do in Japan. Usually it's very dry. But recently we have had high humidity and even rain which is unusual this time of year. How has that weather been there for you? I know it can get very hot and humid there in Osaka area. But it's also been very hot, which is kind of normal for this time of year. I have been trying to ride my bike as much as I can but it's difficult with how hot it's been. But it's healthy and keeps me strong. I love biking. Do both of you ride a bike? Are you into any other activities? Do you love the outdoors? Maybe someday I can take you to the mountains here. Hi Owen and Ben.  Your dad here.  Sorry I have not posted in a month. I am good here, finally settled into my new apartment. Last week I went up to the mountains in California called the Sierra Nevada mountains.  I love the mountains and nature and I hope you do too.  I would love to hear about any trips that you take to the mountains or other natural areas in Japan.  Below is a photo I took of a spectacular lake called Mono Lake.  Those strange looking formations are called Tufa.  They used to be under the water and they form from springs under the water that cause the minerals to build up over time into these amazing formations.  I hope you can see them someday if you ever visit America.  Send me a message here or on Facebook if you can.  Love Dad. Exactly 10 years ago today was the last day I spent with my kids Owen and Ben. The next day their mother using deception and lies took them Japan. I'm still their father and I hope one day they will contact me.
